The History of the Tulsa Drillers Baseball Team

The Tulsa Drillers baseball team was founded in 1977 as a minor league affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team was originally known as the Double-A Tulsa Drillers, and they played in the Texas League. The Drillers were one of the most successful teams in the league, winning four division titles and two league championships during their time in the Texas League. In 1998, the Drillers moved to the Pacific Coast League and became a Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
